The starfish are sugarpaste, colored to match the ribbon. The shells were molded white chocolate shells. The mermaid was a fun creation! I took the picture from the invitation, shrunk it down, and added a fondant tail. Then I tucked her into a real shell that I glued open. I added some edible purple sprinkles to the tail to emulate the glitter on her tail on the invitation.
